Overnight Viñales


Overview

Located in the westernmost part of Cuba, we find the province of Pinar del Río. Land in which Cuban farmers, usual men with straw hats, machetes on the shoulder, and tobacco between teeth, cultivate the world’s most exquisite tobacco in small plots. Visit the Viñales Valley and live the sensation of having gone back in time to see the zircons traced by the oxen, the incredible limestone rock formations that are vizlumbran on the green meadows, and the caves to explore. This green site, the Viñales Valley next to its most spectacular scenery was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Stop in Soroa, also known as the «rainbow of Cuba» for its natural beauty. A small waterfall is excellent for a refreshing bath. The orchidarium is its best attraction, with an area of three hectares, and is presumed to be the second largest in the world.

Tour Plan

  1. Authentic Cuban Tours offers you the opportunity to customize the tour to your needs, you don’t need necessarily to follow our program, you can add or remove spots.
  2. You will pay always at the end of your excursion and always in Cash. The price of your excursion included a professional Driver and/plus a Tour Guide in your Language. (English, French, or German).
  3. Lunch is not included, but we help you to find good Restaurants where you can taste Typical Cuban Food.
  4. Admission fees to places or activities are not included.
  5. American Vintage Cars not convertible have an A/C system but don't have SeatBelts. They can take a maximum of 4 clients + a driver + a Tour guide. It would be 3 persons in the front seat and 3 persons in the back seat with a total of 6 persons in the car.
  6. If you are more than 4 people we recommend you do the excursions in a Minivan because it will be less expensive and more comfortable for your friends and family.

Picking up at the accommodation by a local guide in your language.

Optional visit to the Havana Club Rum Museum to be in contact with the process of production of rum.

Walking tour around Old Havana, including Arms Square, Saint Francis of Assisi Square, Old Square, Cathedral Square, Ambos Mundos Hotel, and Central Park area.

While walking around, we will stop at some of the famous bars of the city like La Bodeguita del Medio, El Floridita, Sloppy Joe's, Two Brothers, and O'Reilly 304 to have some drinks.

Optional lunch break. (Lunch is not included)

Optional Visit to El Palacio de la Artesanía where a Habano Sommelier will teach us how to mix cigars, rum, and coffee. (that includes a shot of Havana Club Aged rum, a cup of Cuban coffee, and one Cuban cigar)

Visit cigars, rum, and coffee shop to buy some.

Free time at the Flea Market.

Drive to the accommodation.

Choices for night activities:

  • Cannon Shot Ceremony at La Cabaña Fortress. Included
  • Buena Vista Social Club Show. Including show and typical Cuban Meal. Service starts at 8.00 PM) tickets are not included
  • Tropicana Show. Depending on the location. Starts at 9.00 PM) tickets are not included
  • Fábrica de Arte Cubano.

Pick up at the hotel or place of lodging at 8:00 am

Cross the province of Havana to continue towards Soroa

Visit Soroa where you can enjoy a swim in the waterfall and visit the orchid (you must pay a subscriber in both places 3-5 USD per person)

Continue the journey to the Viñales Valley

Stop at the viewpoint ¨Las Jazmines¨ (an excellent place for photography)

Visit the farmer’s house to see and learn about Cuban tobacco

Visit the town of Viñales

Visit the Cave of the Indian ( the entry not included, 5 USD per person)

Visit the Mural of Prehistory

Enjoy a horse ride (optional, not included 10-15 USD per person)

Return the trip to your accommodation.
